If you are travelling often on Kerala highways, you would be looking for good hotels where you can relax and get some decent food. If you are not a regular traveller, this is much more difficult than you think. Most of the highway side hotels are a rip-off.

The following video is created by Kerala tourism department as part of the “God’s own country” campaign. First thing you note is the amazing camera work by Santhosh Sivan! This type of luring ads can give a real boost to tourism sector.

Periyar national park is located in Idukki district. The protected area covers an area of 777 km², out of which a 350 km² part of the main zone was made into the Periyar National Park and Tiger Reserve, also known as the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary.

World’s largest luxury ship, Queen Mary 2 docked at the Cochin port yesterday. Started from New York, this ship is headed to Malaysia. The ticket price for the journey is over 1 crore rupees(!) and this time it carries 2650 passengers. The total tour duration is 80 days.
