At last KSRTC has implemented bus route numbers for city services in Trivandrum. Earlier the bus routes were written only in Malayalam and most of the boards were difficult to read. Also people from outside and tourists had a tough time finding the bus to their destination.

With a clear lead in SMS votes(40 thousand more than runner up Durga) Najim from Trivadrum today won the Idea Star Singer 2007 competition. He got a brand new flat worth 40 lakhs in cochin from confident group! Runner up Durga got a Ford Fiesta car!

I have written many times on the lack of consumer choice in Kerala. The only hope is the arrival of new retail chains. In Kerala, Trivandrum is especially hostile to consumers. Most of the shopkeepers are behaving like they are running some kind of charity shop for consumers.

Today there was interesting phenomenon in Trivandrum city. Almost all the computer shops had their shutters half closed! Reason? News leaked out that Microsoft and police is conducting raids to find out usage of pirated software!
