DYFI did a “rail roko” dharna at Palakkad railway station yesterday. They were protesting against the creation new Salem railway division. It is feared that creation of Salem division will affect Palakkad division and will also affect Rail infrastructure in Kerala.

Things are getting pretty nasty in Kerala. Now there is a hartal almost every day somewhere. The funny thing is that the only people affected are the poorest of poor (daily wage workers - I know it is not funny, but sad).
