In an idiotic move, Kerala government completely banned private bus services in nationalized routes from today. Earlier private buses were allowed to run up to 10KM through nationalized routes. Now not even an inch through the nationalized routes are allowed and that means they can’t even cross them.
This move will surely bring untold misery to [...]

Village offices in Kerala - Corruption, fraud and cheating

Village offices in Kerala are well known for corruption. A number of certificates are issued from village offices (income certificate, nativity certificate etc.) and invariably bribe is required to get them. Some may argue that you can still get the certificates without bribe, but that will require 3 or more village office visits!
Historically village officers [...]

Kannur killings and politics in kerala police

All the hell has broken loose when Kerala high court said that manslaughter is a popular sport in Kannur. High court also pointed out the politicisation of Kerala police in Kannur.  Even idiots in Kerala knows that what high court judge said is 100% true!
I am no fan of BJP (think about Gujarat massacre), [...]

Lack of consumer choice and competition in Kerala

I have written many times on the lack of consumer choice in Kerala. The only hope is the arrival of new retail chains. In Kerala, Trivandrum is especially hostile to consumers. Most of the shopkeepers are behaving like they are running some kind of charity shop for consumers.
Check out an interesting experience of Mr. Santhosh [...]
