Our first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru was a good person. But as a prime minister he was an utter failure. His concept of idiotic “socialism” is the primary reason why it took almost 40 years for us to bring liberalisation. For him, the word “profit” was devil and millions of Indians suffered in poverty due [...]

Criminals from DYFI and biggest Kerala mafia (Vyapari Vyvasayi association) ransacked the new Reliance retail shop scheduled to open today at Paravur. They destroyed property and poured oil on the building. Interestingly police never came to the spot and no one was arrested even after the violence.
Please note that the people behind this criminal activity [...]

A number of certificates are issued from village offices (income certificate, nativity certificate etc.) and invariably bribe is required to get them. Some may argue that you can still get the certificates without bribe, but that will require 3 or more village office visits!
Historically village officers [...]

I think if there is one thing that will destroy us as a society, it is going to be politicians. They are one category to whom no law seems to apply. For example, the goonda act recently passed by our "beloved" politicians exempt "politicians" from the goonda list. How convenient!
Consider the recent criminal acts [...]

The work “charak (commodity)” is a common word among men (even in colleges and schools) used to describe woman.
Here is another [...]

Here is a “shocking” news pointed out by kuttan. Please note that “shocking” is for the people outside Kerala.
The latest example in this cases is Kerala Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samiti’s protest against the entry of retail chains in Kerala. For quite while they had Kerala consumers as captives for their lack of choice. Now [...]

In Kerala, “Law” is redefined from June 1st, 2007 as the following.
“Law” is a set of rules applicable only for the rich people. For poor/middle class people, law doesn’t apply. For example, suppose you want to encroach government land or government property. The first thing you need to make sure is that you are a [...]

Kerala government has decided to extend community policing initiative across the state. This initiative was successful in bringing down armed robbery in mainy residential colonies. Like any initiative, this has some problems as well. Sometimes the volunteers take law into their hands and beat up anybody who just happens to be a passerby.
A big problem [...]
