Smart Move - Get your vehicle details online!

As part of the SMART Move initiative, motor vehicle department in Kerala has put all the vehicle details and driving license details online. You can access it here. The online facilities include driving license test scheduling details, details about your license application, fancy number availability and registration details of a given vehicle number. These facilities are sure to bring more transparency to all motor vehicle procedures.
SMART-MOVE is a proprietary software developed by the Kerala State Division of National Informatics Center(NIC). SMART-MOVE is a comprehensive package which automates all the citizen centric procedures and eliminates manual records. In future registration records, tax collection registers, permit registers etc. will be accessible online.
I just hope that RTOs in Kerala won’t go for an indefinite strike demanding a closure of this site and Smart Move project. After all, they are getting an obscene amount of money as bribe. I have heard that some people actually look for RTO boys when they are looking for a groom for their daughter 
RTO Monthly salary = government salary + 300*10*20 which is over 70 thousand rupees. Not bad, eh?
