Barcamp2 in Kerala - Cochin Cusat

Barcamp is a gathering of people who want to share and learn. Typically it is a techy event and the last barcamp saw a lot of geeks in attendance.
The second Barcamp is being organized at Cochin on February 3rd, 2008. The venue is DOE (Department of Electronics) seminar hall, CUSAT. You can register for the event here. A lot of well known bloggers/techies are in the participant list (over 50 as of today). There are a lot of sessions planned which include Events 2.0, Search Engine Marketing, Xtend IVR - A RAD Toolkit for Telephony,Visual Studio 2008, SAAS - Software As A Service, JavaScript, The Most Misunderstood Language, Mobile Social Networking in 25 days and Game Development: DirectX & Flash.
Barcamp or geek gatherings are a new phenomenon in Kerala. But I have a feeling that soon these events will be taken over by the “manager” types (especially when someone realizes the commercial possibilities). So make the most out of it when it is still “free”, “informal” and “open”.
