Lack of consumer choice and competition in Kerala

I have written many times on the lack of consumer choice in Kerala. The only hope is the arrival of new retail chains. In Kerala, Trivandrum is especially hostile to consumers. Most of the shopkeepers are behaving like they are running some kind of charity shop for consumers.
Check out an interesting experience of Mr. Santhosh at Parthas Textiles in Trivandrum. Note that Parthas is one of the biggest textiles shops and there isn’t much competition in the field.
