There is a saying in Malayalam - "aadiney pattiyakkuka" - means turning sheep into a dog. Article by D. Babu paul goes one step ahead - his article is titled - "aadu, patti, peppatti" - turning sheep into a rabies dog!
He talking about the recent controversy generated by Bishop Joseph Powathil’s statement - he is alleged to have said that Christians should sent their children to only Christian institutions.
The reality is that even though Powathil is a hardcore traditionalist, he is an intelligent man as well. There is no chance he would have said that kind of a controversial statement in a public meeting. But certain media and "vested interests" who are not pleased with the bishop, twisted bishop’s speech. For a while I myself had blamed Powathil, but later came to know the lies that certain media outlets and political parties were spreading.
