Mallus angry at Bush’s cat

If you have just seen the title alone, you would be wondering “what the heck is that”? Ok. Without further suspense refer the following news,

Thiruvananthapuram, July 2 (IANS) Angry youths in this Kerala capital Friday burnt an effigy of US President George W. Bush, not because they are anti-American but because he has named his cat India.

Members of the citizens group Prathikarana Vedi assembled before the Kerala assembly saying that Bush calling his cat India was an insult to the country.

Whitehouse cat named 'India'If you want to see bush’s cat who made all these fuss, check here. Since the cat is black, I think a lot people will find it racially offensive! :-)

I know some of you would be wondering from where these guys get the time to organize all these demonstrations! Reason is simple - There are no industries and no jobs in Kerala. It is estimated that around 3 to 4 million youths are unemployed in Kerala. Such agitations offer a way to spend some energy and time.

Now the question is, if there are so much unemployment, why is Malayalees not starving? The answer is again simple - Families will have atleast one guy outside Kerala, working like a dog.

Thanks Binny, for pointing this out.
