Kerala fire force to acquire helicopter

As part of the modernization initiative, Kerala government has decided to buy a helicopter for the fire and safety department. The cost is expected to be around 34 crores.
Also government has decided to install mobile jammers in all the major jails. Mobile phone use is widespread in jails and there are also instances of co-ordinating illegal activities from the jail.
