Superstar Global on Amrita TV

It is boom time for reality TV in Kerala. All the channels have jumped into the fray after Amrita TV’s Superstar became a super hit. Thankfully it is a welcome relief from the nonsense serials around.
Currently Amrita TV is running vanitharatnam (superstar of mothers!) and super dancer. Asianet is running Idea star singer 2007 and the first prize is a flat worth Rs.40,00000!!!
The latest in the reality series is the Superstar global which is a sequel to the original superstar series on Amrita TV. Auditions are planned all over the world. What makes it all the more interesting is the first prize - A mercedez benz!!
For this kind of money, behind the scenes string pulling will be much more interesting to watch! Definitely police protection will be needed for the judges.

Shans& Jyotsana’s manner and way of approach towards the participants were really awkward and disappointing.i think persons like George… should really become the Judges.

chithra is a great singer of world yet she has very simple and cute so every one respects her but jyostna and shan they r babes in singing yet they r very oversmart and acts as no:1 singer in the world.they teasing at every participants so plz plz plz plz avoid them and appoint any singers as judge rather than them…………..

Thanks for amritha tv for providing such good facility to young talents, but sorry to point out a mistake. judges selection is very bad this time round. Missing the judges of super star & super star junior. The judges require some round of grooming sections. They r not mature enough. George sir is fine, Sad to see the way gayathri asked one of the partisipants to quit. Jothsana and shaan are acting too smart, reflecting their lack of experience and immaturity. Hope the channel will take some immediate step to rectify this error.

jyotsna ,shaan,gayathri too young to decide how a singer should be and not at all mature decisions.
comments they make are too disappointing and discouraging to the contestants.
requesting the concerned persons to change the judges for the real show.this is a request.ahumble one.

It is the immediate attention to the judges: First of all this 3 judges (except george) are not apt for this type of Reality show, what is that? i seen most talented participants getting ignorence and unjustice from this 2 judges(shaan & jyostna),what falt they are telling,actually there is no any falt,they are thinking they both perfect !!! am i right friends… so they should go to any good singing and learn first some thing.other lady is a singer,but she is not ultimate musical ideal ! what ever it is she is singing in the film,that all songs are manufacturing good musicians and giving chance to sing the song, it is not her efficiency,so she dont think it is the word she is telling is very correct,what quality she had to make comments,some songs she sung made by other popular musicians?so dont think jyostna you are a Big Bithovan ! you also came like this only,oneday you didnt become popular singer? Another is “cabera Singer” ! What qualification she have to judge?the participants came to competete have somany classical,melody experience and knowlwdge,but i am asking this judge have any experience like this?she learn any thing from anybody?Everybody have some to explore can sing just like her songs, be honest in your judgement.Dont discourage the participants and give good advice who it is actually righted.dont see the figure and glamour to give marks.i am not saying anything about shaan because he is a ‘bar singer’ ##########$$$$$$$$$$$ george doing is very nice job… keep it up…

hi, super star is good program.but i hav to say that ,the work of steepan’s code playing is very danger for singing.becaz,when the cotastent singing ,he is playing piano but his sound of sruthi is not matching for the singer’s sruthi so otomaticaly singer’s sruthi will chage.that is very danger.
and that method is not interesting to taste odiance.
and the hilite of super star is deepakdev.

Hi,
I am watching the show from the beginning. As all mentioned earlier, Jyotsana and Shan really need to improve and come down to earth if they want to progress in life. Their attitude was not at all perfect during the prelims.
I would suggest if Karoke can replace Stephen as it will give more liveliness to the show.Most of the participants are loosing their shruthi may be becuase of the mismatch with Stephan. Stephan seems to be dedicated and play like a professional, but is not matching with the requirements of amature stars.

Super star is a good program but i would like to say that new judge jayachandran, pls pls take out him from the studio, because he will destroy this program. before he was in Asianet that program failed because his judgment, than asianet kick out him, now stupid{jayachandran}in amrtha tv ,100% he will kill this program and stars, so pls immedialtly kick out him from superstar global, also request to you that call back deepak,alphonse,{gorge good, gayatri nice,josna very bad}

praveen vijay krishnan rendered the song “ennavale’ very beautifully! jayachandran was jealous and threatened…I guess….His comments were awful…..that kid’s confidence will be so shaken up the next time he comes on stage… calling him overconfident without any reason to do so was a terrible thing to do….Crappy comments…at least George or Jyotsna could have opined otherwise..Sigh! somebody do something about these judges!!!!!!

Thanks for SSG 2007.Viewership may be more for Idea Star Singer(now).But the 21 contestants of SSG(minus 2)are really competant than ISS 2007 of Asianet (except 3 or 4 ).Real improvement is required in following areas:-
1.Sound system.( Both Recording/Shoot & Telecast )
2.Stage Design.(After putting lot of money, it is difficult to change, I agree.) but this can be overcome by improving
lighting.
3.Editing /Mixing.He is lacking musical mind.Especially good
portion of singing can be conveyed to the audience/viewers
more effectively by showing the close-ups of judges’ expressions and also the singers’ close-ups alternatively.
4.Audience in studio.
Seating arrangements of the audience to be improved.Number of audience to be increased.Their involvement
and responses to singing to be shown.
6.Angle of Cameras.
Panning and Crane-shots should be improved,(Areas:- height,angle,speed)
7.Song History:
Some of the judges commented while giving their
opinion that the song is not familiar to them,but still it could be like this,that etc.which is not apt for a programme like this since we call it “GLOBAL”.Since you are giving the
the option for the participants to choose the song for a given round you can get the original tape of the song selected ,from the participant itself and allow the judges
hear the song before competition.
8.Open valuation.
It will be more transparent if you can let the audience know about the marks given by the judges apart from their open opinions to the participants.
9.The judges panel:
The panel should not be changed within a given round.
10.Competency of the judges.
Judges should explain their comments practically or
rather literarily by “SINGING”.

Keep Our Thrissur Slang Properly…Otherwise u know it’s utterwaste to hear….I am also from Thrissur….Moreover Abroad mallu’s r really scared about Our Thrissur Slang….So When They heared u r slang through Amritha Tv …Now all of them r started teasing around Thrissur Mallu’s….. Poor Thrissur Girls….they got enough…….Now they r telling u r comments with very good thrissur slang…
But anyway I like u r childishness….Do keep it up….Be Aware of Some Slangs which v we used to talk in Home town…..

11th of September episode, while the Contestant, Ms. Kavitha’s sings, Mr. Peter Devassy , who was totally wrong with his music composition and he put kavitha’s position in trouble, this is too bad. it should not happed more.

The programme super star global feels good and fresh.The recent virus crept in this programme is the competancy of judging.The old judges faired well.I know it is a prepacked and the first 13 epsodes would have been given to those judges.What ever it is the public/viewers need the competancy and the ability to pointout the mistakes of the participants and have the capacity to maintain the tempo of the programme from the judges.I hope in the future episodes,we will have the old judges back in action.
Charu hariharan is excellent and her voice culture is apt for a singer to go longway.Good to see the young talents on the stage with variety.Keep it up.My best wishes to all the participants,

i am a regular viewer of the superstar global. it had a booming starting and i was thrilled to watch it but recently the show is not coming up to the expected (global)level. i think the participants are not consumed it seriously. pls motivate them and make them aware of its global importance.
sooraj ,jithu and one lean girl(sorry i am not getting her name right now) they have serious approach. but suraj is not exploring his talent to its utmost.(not careing his voice .he is a boy with gifted calibre)
judges are using sugar coated words to please the viewers.they seem hesitant to point out the defects thinking that it may affect their polling.
gayathri is trying to use some byhearted bombastic english words. it gives artificial colour.
sometimes shyma comes in over make up.your presentation is commentable.
with a hope that u will not take it as adverse comments and work upon it

I agree that superstar globel is not coming up to the globel level very often. Participants are not really taking it to that level. It is very evident that many candidates often forget the lyrics… song selection often very bad and so on.. My suggestion is that contestants should seek enough help and advice to present a poweful performance on the stage. This is because, although this is a competition viewers like me realy enjoy the singing so why not make it enjoyable rather than boaring. They are all very talented..isn’t it?
A totaly different matter, I am personaly against making the farewell on fridays so emotional. Shyama you are playing a important role in making this emotional feelings happen. Pls Pls dont be so emotional take it as a competition. Try keep their emotions maximum behind the screen. Afterall they too are super singers, so why we must cry for being out of the competition. ( you should see the ‘X’factor )

I was a regular viewer of Super Star. But Super Star global is of substandard stuff. Except Jithu,Roopa and Sooraj all are not competant at global level. Jithu & Roopa are excellent singers but so sad that they failed in Performance Round. Happy to note that jithu is coming up. Both Jithu & Roopa, have very good potential of a perfect singers. I think either of them will come as Super Star Global. I adore M.Jayachandran, Stephen, Chitra & Unnimenon. Very good judjements from Unnimenon & JC. Jithu’s “mujhe dekh sona” and Roopa’s “manmohana” are haunting us all the time. Good luck to both!About others, I do not have much to comment.

One more suggestion. I watched the IDEA STAR SINGER recently and felt that the singers are extremely talented. Super Star was good and the singers like Sangeeth, Job etc are excellent singers. If you do not select ppl of that calibre, this program will be an utter failure in future. Let me tell you one more thing, am a great fan of M.Jayachandran. I used to watch his program Ragotsavam. When I heard the song “Rakilithan” at night around 12 midnight i browsed internet to find out the possibility to get his phone number but failed.

The singers of Super Star Global is not at all competant except few like Jithu, Rupa & Suraj. This is the result of wrong judgement of Jyothsna & Shan. I do not know how a reputed channel like Amritha TV select these useless ppl as judges? I was surprised to see shan as judge? Is he a singer? I think he thinks that he is Saint Thyagaraja. And Jyotsna, you are only a child in the ocean of music. I think you consider yourself as Lata Mangeshkar. We malayaleed enjoyed only one song from you from the film Nammal. Pls watch and understand how young singers like Manjari, Swetha, Gayathri..etc are performing. How humble they are. We had a plan to bring you in UAE for a concert. But changed our mind thinking that you will be an headache for us. We hate you and Shan! Shan can go and sing only in bars where ppl who are boozed will enjoy your song. Bullshit!!!

This is the only one program that i watch regularly…Great Show! Superb Standards…. A special thundering applause for Stephan, he is the fortitude of SSG! Shyama very level headed anchoring thanks for not making things dramatic! Cheers to all the judges its a tough job to do especially when you have such a great bundle of singers in front of you with all due respect to them… please get more young guest judges or incluse one young judge…bcoz somehow i feel our judges sometimes fail to enjoy todays music… i must tell its not that easy to sing that also for eg when sruthi & anand sang that tamil song the response from the judges was very surprising…..Only one complaint please please ask the contestants to speak up otherwise its gonna be boring they really disappoint the viewers…please give them some kind of training ike you guys have made them perform…its high time!! Please do something about this! Otherwise the show is rocking! Keep the good work going! All the Best!

It is an excellent programme and is worth spending one hour . The comments by eminent judges are taken up seriously by the competitors and make a lot improvement. They have become talented and are beter than the professional singers. Keep it up for the great and superb show. I congratulate the judges for bring up the hidden talents of the youngesters.

All singers left are good. But Roopa is several notches above the rest.
All music lovers would appreciate Jayachandran for his knowledge, talent and passion for real music. I am sorry for those who keep on bitching about him. I suggest they watch Idea star singer instead. It will be more to their taste.

the super star was a big success mainly bcz of the three young,charming judges and defenetly shyama chechi.
now even shyama chechi has lost her earlier charm and beauty in her anchoring ,and the judges though they are more great personalities they also has no life to give colour and life to the programme.

Roopa , without doubt , is the best singer, by far. It is inappropriate that SMS becomes the most important factor. (It may also be noted that SMSs sent from Omantel, does not go at least 80% of the times)
It would be a travesty of justice if Jithu is declared the winner..

Roopa is simply the greatest. Who else can render Gangai Karai Mannan so perfectly and better? Every song of hers is perfect, done with dedication and with a touch of class. God has really really endowed her with a drop of the supreme ray of greatness on her forehead. Simply superb.
