Sakkaria is an intelligent man. He is the lone voice against new age moral police and the new age eco-terrorism. Eco-terrorism is the second biggest threat Malayalis face (corruption being the first).

while I agree that eco-terrorism should be of concern, I have to disagree with Paul Zakaria’s statement here on Sugathakumari. I would recommend reading Sugathakumari’s this anthology of essays. The book features 3 decades of her writing on this subject. Pick and read any at random and you will see why Zakaria is wrong.
To call him “the lone voice against the new age eco-terrorism” is undeserved praise.
