Why A. K. Balan should resign?

Many people in Kerala has a misconception. They think that if something illegal is done, it is ok if it is done by a gang. They think that law has no validity before a majority!
Also many think that they have a born right to disrupt traffic or prevent others from operating their businesses. For example, it has become a fashion to prevent rail traffic. You don’t have to be a lawyer to know that it is a criminal offence!
Now here is the fun part! Minister A. K. Balan was actively leading a group of people to block train traffic during ‘rail roko’ agitation in 2000 december. So the judge hearing the case had no other option. He/she did gave a judgment purely based on the current Indian law and gave him 2 years of imprisonment. Anybody violates someone else’s freedom to move/travel obviously needs to be punished.
What so strange is the way CPI(M) has behaved in the state assembly. They have passed a resolution criticizing the judiciary! What are they saying? Are they saying there is no need for rule of law in Kerala? Does that mean we should all go back to jungle raj?
Any self respecting politician must resign when he is convicted on a criminal case!
BJP has called for a hartal in Trivandrum tommorrow (29 March). I love my Kerala!

It’s too much to think that someone who could block train will have the courtesy to resign on moral grounds!

A minister who refuses to resign calling his rail-roko as “Janakeeyam”
A party that calls hartal because of our approach towards ADB
A Chief Minsiter who accuses Manorama and Deepika of being funded by CIA. ( as if the CIA has suddenly stopped its fight on Laden and shifted its focus to Kerala). Imagine Geroge Bush addressing the Congress - “The People of America will fight our enemey - Achuthanandan. We will make him pay for the atrocities he has done against America.)
As always IT HAPPENS ONLY IN KERALA.
