We are very happy to announce the results of Kerala Blogger Awards 2006. It was a very close competition. Here are the winners,

Kerala Blogger Awards winner for 2006 is Just Jo by Joseph Thomas with 46 votes. Jo’s blog deals with a wide range of topics including music, politics and personal stuff. Jo takes home gift coupons worth Rs. 6000.

The first runner up is Varnachitram with 44 votes. This blog is managed by two guys (This is a group blog, currently with two authors, who live geographically apart). Varnachitram is everything about Malayalam Cinema. You can find articles on Movies, music and arts here. Varnachitram takes home gift coupons worth Rs. 2000.

The second runner up is Uyarangalilekku (Scaling New Heights) by Brijesh with 20 votes. Brijesh writes on a variety of topics and blog posts are long and informative. Brijesh gets gift coupons worth Rs. 1000.

As promised, two lucky voters take home prizes worth Rs. 500. They are Sitara Anilal and jeevschennai. This is for all the hardwork you did in voting!

Trivia: It is interesting to note that many nominations didn’t even get a single vote. This basically means that the guy who nominated didn’t even care enough to vote!
