Geodesic trademarks our “Mundu”
March 14th, 2007
“Mundu” is the traditional dress used by men in Kerala. But unfortunately the word “Mundu” was trademarked by Geodesic company recently!
Mundu Messenger enables real-time collaboration between trusted lists of IM contacts across public IM Networks on the Web, Desktop and Mobile phone.
Nooooooo! Now we cannot use “Mundu” without putting “TM” near it!
Bloggers, like we did with Yahoo, let us start a campaign to save our beloved “Mundu”. Else there will be a day when for even wearing it we will have to get permission from Geodesic!

Hey dudes,
I’m from Geodesic. You guys needn’t worry as the word Mundu - Geodesic’s trademark - comes from the Hindi word “Mundu” meaning “the assistant”. Besides, the trademark is on categories Internet, Mobile, and Wireless.
ഇനി നമുക്കു പേടിക്കാതെ, തലയില് “മുണ്ടി”ടാതെ ധൈര്യമായി നടക്കാം… എന്താ പോരെ?!
