Why we need capital punishment - the sebastian case
March 12th, 2007
There are many groups operating in Kerala which calls for a ban on Capital punishment. For example, some nutcases were protesting against the Afzal judgment near secretariate in Trivandrum. Supreme court doesn’t give someone capital punishment just for fun. There are valid reasons for awarding capital punishment and I strongly feel that it is needed in India for a long long time.
Today Trivandrum session court has given death penalty for Sebastian for rape and murder of a 2 year old(!) girl. I am sure that some so called “human rights” activists will start their agitation soon asking for pardon for Sebastian. To be frank, I think they also deserve to be executed.
My logic is simple. If someone doesn’t respect another person’s right to live, it means that he has just lost his right to live. That to me is justice.
Sebastian is accused of raping and murdering several young girls in Kerala and TamilNadu. In one of the cases, the young girl (2 years of age) had over 25 wounds all over the body, and as per police report over 8 of these very deep wounds in private parts.
I know, I am being very descriptive. But I just want to show for whom some stupid fellows in Kerala are ready to hold demonstrations.
If we let this criminal get out again and if he kills another child, that child’s blood will be in our hands.

the fundamental rights of a person ends where the nose of another starts. if a person cannot respect another’s right to live, he does not deserve to live himself.he did not stop to think when all those innocent girls were ripped apart; girls who were too young even to know what was being done to them….
it would have been INJUSTICE if he were allowed to live in the state prison and be sheltered and clothed using the resources of the unfortunate parents of his victims.

Think of the trauma of the parents of that innocent girl! Just think of the trauma suffered by that innocent girl!
Anyone who speak for a deamon like Sebstian should also be executed. In this country, every parents should live in peace and shall not worry about the safetey of their baby girls.
