Ramyanaresh captures Silent valley in photos.
Visiting here is not as simple as we think! We need to get prior permission from the forest department in Mukali on paying entry fee Rs 20/- per visitor. Private jeeps from Mukkali to Silent valley and back cost Rs 450/-. You can also take your own vehicle with permission from forest officials (Vehicle entrance fee-Rs 100/-). If you are in a BIG GANG, chances are there for concession
You can also opt for a Guide available there by paying him some extra money. On the way uphill you see the Karivara farm inhabited by the Mudukar tribes of the Attapadi forest reserve.
