Tragedy on the Attingal national highway

It happened again on the national highway near Attingal. An old woman was first knocked down by a speeding vehicle on the national highway (NH 47). Vehicles which came behind also went over her. This continued for hours and as you can imagine she was nothing more than a pile of flesh by the time police arrived on the spot.
This is the second time such an incident is happening near Attingal. You would be wondering why no one stopped or tried to avoid going over her. First, people drive at a very high speeds even at night when the vision is very restricted. Second, no one cares any more. I mean, no one even bothered to phone the Police!
Last time when a similar thing happened, Police were on the spot immediately. But they refused to do anything. They just stood there watching all the vehicles go over a dead human body! (Most of them were suspended after newspaper reports)
