Do we need to learn how to live our lives?
February 4th, 2007
As humans do we need to learn how to live our lives? Well, that is what “Art of living” proponents are saying. VKN’s friend has a good take on the issue,
“Ravi Shankar, Hari Shankar, Baba Shankar.. or any Shankar…
If you have all your marbles with you, then you DO NOT need any one to tell you how to live! Yes, a good lecture about life can be enlightening, but not for such tickets and definitely not when followers act like ticket scalpers pimping tickets!Life is pretty simple – You are born, you have some happy moments, you have sad moments, you grow old, you die! End of story.”
I can’t agree more!

I would have to disagree with you.
And really people dont have their marbles anymore.
Even you so called educated people, land up in hospitals. for you disease is a part of life.
Unlike what Baba ramdev tells you that you cause diesease through a bad diet.
You drink coke and pepsi eat stale fast food with chemical additives(and addictives) loaded with transfat and obesity causing endocrine disrupters, and you still expect to have your marbles intact.
If you get a cold of flu or even a stomach disorder you take an anti-biotic that kills all the good bacteria in your stomach, which leads to a host of other nutritional deficiencies that stress you out. And you will continue to do that until you land up in the hospital and die.
But there have been many people who have found the way by listening to Baba ramdev(I am not such a fan of SSSRS as I feel he is too commercial but none the less if you follow the art of living lifestyle you will only do good to your body mentally and physically)
People have been delusioned by western corporates just like america is disease ridden today(not everyboy looks like brad pitt or angelina joline, 3 out 4 people are overweight, 60% being obese)
India is not far behind and thanks to these babas.I Know baba ramdev has cured atleast more than 5 million people.
In my very own town in mangalore there is a guruji. he refuses to be called a baba and does not want to be one. he was a heart patient who after an operation was given 10 years to live. He was not able to walk around. He found a guruji(who is not very famous) who taught him pranayam, yoga and how to awaken the kundalini. Today after 13 years he is still alive and I have seen him swim in the sea like a fish.(he is 40 years). My friend mothers was not able to walk(she was literally walking like Planet of the apes) today she is allright thanks to the guruji advice and yoga.
We need it today everbody is ignorant.
since you are from kerela I understand your frustration. I have to agree that the biggest conmen in the name of babas are in kerala.
I only implore you not to mix the two. there are real babas too who know the entire pathanjali sutra, and they just tell you what is there in that.
We are still suffering from the hangover of the british rule. We are getting westernised and we have forgotter our roots.
I think you should reconsider
