Free Malayalam software for Windows
January 30th, 2007
Ministry of communications & information technology has released a suite of tools for Malayalam language. You can download them here. The package contains,
- Malayalam fonts (true type, open type etc.)
- Malayalam spell checker
- Malayalam-English and English-Malayalam dictionaries
- Malayalam Microsoft word tool
- Malayalam OCR (very useful!)
- Malayalam text to speech tool
I don’t know how Achu mama will react with all these Microsoft tools!

In our computer, by using internet,if we open the site of malayalmam news(manorama news), malayalm news are displayed some other script,which we can’t read.please inform the way to download the malayalm version/software to display all malayalam letters in malayalam itself.

I clicked on the download site and could not recognize which is the text to speech download. Can you provide me in my email. My parents are old and they need to read stuff from PC loud in Malayalam. Please help as I dont know Malayalam to read, though I talk fluently. Thanks a bunch.
