Value of 2 rupees - Help your neighbour

Sometime back I wrote a post about the karuvannur toll bridge guessing that probably it is the cheapest toll bridge. The toll is for 2 rupees.
Kuttan menon writes about an incident in Amala hospital which shows how valuable 2 rupees can be!
കഞ്ഞിക്ക് പത്തുരൂപയാണ് വില. ആ സ്ത്രീയുടെ കൈവശം 8 രൂപയേ ഉള്ളൂ. കൌണ്ടറിലെ പയ്യന് അല്പം പരുഷമായിത്തന്നെയാണ് ആ സ്ത്രീയോട് ബാക്കി 2 രൂപ ചോദിക്കുന്നത്.
ആ സ്ത്രീ ദയനീയമായി അയാളെ നോക്കി.
‘ഒരു 2 രൂപയല്ലേ സുഹ്രുത്തേ.. ഞാന് തരാം..’ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞ് ഞാനതെടുത്ത് കൊടുത്തു.
‘അല്ല സാറെ.. ഇത് ഇവരുടെ സ്ഥിരം പരിപാടിയാ..’
Guys, never underestimate the value of money. If you can, please help the people who are in urgent need for money.
