Reliance netconnect “broadband” service in Kerala

Reliance offers broadband service (if you can call 144kbps service as broadband service!) through its mobile network called netconnect. Two devices(USB and PCI) are available in the market for about Rs. 4500. The USB device is the best!
This device also has a phone number, hence you can make or receive calls when the device is connected to the laptop. The schemes are costly (Rs. 400+ per month depending on scheme) considering that it offers only 144kbps. Also you may not even get 144kbps if the signal is low. But what makes it irresistable is the fact that it can be used anywhere in Kerala! Hence I can access internet in train, bus or even in dense jungles of Idukki district. 
So guys, get it if you have money and if you are on the move most of the time. I used to hate long train travels, but not any more!

Beware of Reliance Infocomm. They have their own mwthods of duping the customers to build up their coffers. To know the full details of how they cheated me, please refer to the undermentioned link. By the way, I have decided to offer my brand new reliance handsets free of cost, as I dont want to be in the subscription list of swindlers. Any takers?

I also have very bad experience with Reliance Netconnect
- Their customer care(is substandard, opportunistic and plain useless)
- Reliance outlets(Webworld) is also uselss and unhelpful and all the more does not beleive in the concept of customer satisfaction
And (as you mentioned), please do not call this broadband. The speeds are lower than mediocre (in single digit kbps 3-4 kbps)
If you have a choice please dont even think about buying this.

You might have experienced such difficulty. we can’t make all the customers happy with all there issues. But we make most of our customers happy. Hopeless!!!
First they billed me under the wrong scheme, and I ended up paying twice the supposed amount.
Then when I approached reliance webworld (Kottayam) with a problem of not getting connected to the internet with my netconnect, they ask me to go their service centre in Ernakulam (more than 80 kms away). Then why the hell do they have a webworld there? Only to accept the payments??

Arun, that was very nice of you to post your contact for, hopefully, resolving customer concerns.
Customers should always read the fineprint when new plans come out. It is a global phenomenon that corporations bring out different kinds of plans to confuse customers.
Talking about broadband speed it is such a shame what we are like at the bottom. Check out the speeds in Tokyo or Shanghai; they are above twenty thousand kb/s or 20 mbs/sec.
I think Anil should stop building a billion-dollar house and spend some of that money into India’s network infrastructure. Hey Anil, what are you gonna say when someone at a party asks you about internet speed in India? It is time that corporations gave some of their money back to the society.

iam astonished at the very shabby customer care of reliance net connect.my captioned complaint still remains unsolved .the worst ever is the dealer machinery which day before told me to do what ever i want.they have nothing to say.what a cheap approach.never expected it from reliance.even if the equipment does not work u r sure to get ur monthly bill.r they not ashamed or how can they digest a morsel earned thru cheating bonafide customers .shame on u reliance.

i am also one of the victim of the reliance netconnect i bought the connection at december and i closed the connection on janauary but he never stopped me sending me bill i went to the reliance world again and again but there was just a consolidated response they say “dont worry” its not a problem we will do it right.
finally i got a notice from court to be present before lokadalath i was shocked then i again went to the reliance world the answer was the same finally i have to pay 3000/ rs without any mistake of mine. there are 1000s of people who daily come to the lok adalath daily all are reliance company victims.
The reliance is the biggest frauds i have paid 3000/ rs without any reason the actual fault was the companies but i was the victim.
how do you think that they have the crores this is the reason. Never go to any reliance postpaid or prepaid products. this is a kind request to all indians never buy these frauds products.
