World’s cheapest toll bridge at karuvannur
January 18th, 2007
There is toll bridge on the Karuvannur-Arattupuzha road which probably qualifies as the cheapest toll bridge in the world! They charge 2 rupees (about 4 US cents) for a car! The funny thing is that they reuse the tickets (note different date seals on the ticket).
Interestingly some of the local drivers are smart and they share the ticket

Excellent post.
I recently travelled to New York and we were paying something like 10$ toll and 43$ for 10hr parking.
Closer home, if you have to go through ECR (East Coast Road) in Chennai, you have to pay 45 Rs. as toll for a car
