Joke of the year - By Kerala chief minister Achuthanandan
January 17th, 2007
Mr. Achuthandan, chief minister of Kerala says that he is considering taking loan from Kerala citizens to run the government!
Now only God can help poor Malayalis!
Kerala is in deep financial crisis. Why is there a financial crisis when Kerala charges highest tax on most items? Simple - Kerala government runs zillions of coporations and companies which are competiting to see who makes the maximum loss!
I can see only one group of people ready to give loan to Kerala government - inmates at the mental hospital who are certified to be 100% insane ![]()

I think, you are taking it lightly. If you seriously dig the subject, you can find lot of reasons.
e.g., those “budhi-jeevi”s cry loud kerala’s money is flowing outside, because of the bad self financing college policy. This is a typical example. People care less about “production” of money. They are interested in the movement only.
I find two reasons of our economic problems
(a) Less production of money
(b) The administration itself is too expensive.
Kerala is one of those states which allocate a major chunk of the annual budget for salaries.
